Updated: Feb 17, 2022
Fernandina Beach, Florida - On Wednesday, the Port of Fernandina will welcome American Queen Voyages Ocean Voyager for the first time. At a length just under 300 feet and a cruising speed of 13 knots, this unique boutique coastal vessel will deliver welcome guests to our charming downtown to experience a taste of life in Fernandina Beach.

The Ocean Voyager will join us for their first sailing this Wednesday and will offer their patrons the opportunity to visit Fernandina Beach five more times through the beginning of April. This unique opportunity will create economic activity for service industry and retail shopkeepers in the Fernandina Beach Historic District.
“Our new Southeast U.S.A. sailings on Ocean Voyager offer an immersive way to deeply discover the region and its unique coastal communities like Fernandina Beach,” said Michael Hicks, American Queen Voyages spokesperson. “We wish to thank the Port of Fernandina team and the entire community for their welcoming hospitality in preparation for our first arrival.”

The Ocean Voyager holds up to 202-guests, measuring 286 feet long with 101 suites and
staterooms across five passenger decks. This intimate, agile ship can easily navigate canals and locks, tranquil bays, and hidden ports where larger ships dare not go. Ocean Voyager features a salon and spa, Coastal Dining Room and The Grill, both offering regional cuisine. The ship also features a sun deck to enjoy the beautiful views, a fitness center and the Compass Lounge for lectures and live performances.

In addition to Fernandina Beach, the current itinerary includes Jacksonville, FL; Brunswick, GA; Savannah, GA; Charleston, SC; Beaufort (Port Royal), SC; Port Canaveral, FL; and Freeport, Bahamas. While calling on Northeast Florida, guests will visit sites including the Shrimp Museum in Fernandina Beach.
She recently completed her maiden season in the Yucatan and Mexico and will make her way to the Great Lakes this summer after the Southeast U.S.A. season. American Queen Voyages is a leader in encounter travel, and offers a varied and comprehensive portfolio of North American itineraries and experiences comprised of rivers, lakes, oceans and expedition experiences
